If your straight trailer tongue takes up too much room in your garage or storage unit, this kit will help. Once installed, it lets your trailer fold back onto itself, freeing up to 6' of space.
When choosing the finish of your trailer parts, it's not a matter of which is better, but rather which is better for your application. You want protection, but you also want it to look good and hold up in the environments you're boating in. If you have a freshwater setup, black powder coating will give you a nice finish that will protect the parts from everyday wear, scratches, and chipping. If you have a saltwater setup or plan to boat in brackish water, you'll want to go with the galvanized steel. Galvanized steel is hot-dipped in zinc. The process bonds the zinc to the steel and gives it a layer of protection that protects against rust, even if it gets scratched.

Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at our SwingKing Bolt-on Swing Tongue Kit for three-inch-by-four-inch straight tongue trailers in galvanized finish. So, folks, a Swing Tongue Kit like this allows you to convert a regular tongue into a swing tongue. You simply bolt this on and then whenever you pull the one pin out of the one side, this bolt here would go all the way through, obviously, but I just have it set up here for demo. But anyways, once you pull that pin, you'll be able to swing this tongue all the way back and out of the way. So let's say you had a four, five, six-foot even, I don't know, long tongue here.
You could potentially put this here and then swing this up out of the way, or round out of the way, rather, and then you could fit it maybe in the garage easier, storage shed, storage spot. So that's the beauty of these Swing Tongue Kits. You can swing them out of the way and save you space and everything. Of course, all the necessary bolts and hardware's included. You're gonna be drilling and bolting through your frame using this pretty much as a template, if you will.
And as you can see, it's two pieces. Again, I've only got it kind of loosely fitted together here today. And you have the opening on both sides, where that three-by-four-inch trailer tongue that you have, straight tongue, would go in here. Overall, on a height, I got 4 5/8 inches tall. On a width, this part's the widest part out of everything here, I got right at six inches wide.
And on an overall usable length from end to end, I got 20 1/4 inches long. Again, it's been galvanized, so it's gonna withstand the harsh elements and it's gonna be long-lasting. Folks, that will wrap it up for our quick look together. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
